 Timothy Internship Program

TRAINING MODULES

The Timothy Internship Program (TIP) is a practical, hands-on boot camp built on a foundation of true discipleship principles, apostolic team, and personal accountability. What you learn in TIP cannot be learned merely from a textbook or a classroom setting. That is why each module offers practical application through different ministry and outreach opportunities. This program puts you on the front-lines of missions life while teaching you important and necessary skill-sets to be an effective missionary. What makes our training unique, is that it has been developed by veteran missionaries for missionaries

TRAINING MODULES INCLUDE:

Discipleship: Gain a solid understanding of true discipleship and how to apply it to your life during the internship and on the field.

Language Acquisition: Language study with a combination of classroom and hands-on learning in the surrounding community.

Cultural Immersion: Immersion into the culture as you live with a national host family while continuing your LAMP studies.

New Testament Team: Gaining an understanding of New Testament Team and becoming an apostolic band of interns will be taught and applied.

Developing a Biblical Worldview: Learn how eastern and western world viewpoints differ from each other and how those viewpoints affect missions and reaching the lost in different cultures.

Transformational Ministry Training: Learn how to mobilize believers around the world for generational ministry—with a strategic focus on raising up emerging Christian nations to reach the unreached.

Conflict Resolution: The concept of New Testament Team will be applied while learning to handle conflict biblically as a disciple of Christ producing new disciples.

Strategic Prayer: Learn the skills necessary to conduct and participate in breakthrough prayer as a lifestyle and as a team.

Survey and Assessment: Introduction of the necessary components of surveying target areas and developing a strategy to “lift” the village from poverty. This is done by empowering the people as it applies to community development and church planting.

Children’s Ministry: The purpose of this week is to learn how to create and execute effective children and youth ministry outreaches. If you can reach the children, you can change a generation. You will conduct outreaches throughout the week from school programs to carnivals.

Servant Leadership: Learn the basic principles of leadership, growing in your understanding of how God builds you into Sonship. You will learn how to use your gifts in the role of leadership, to evaluate where you are at and how to handle crisis.

Ministry Planning: The purpose of this week is to bring closure to the program, prepare for re-entry and develop a ministry plan and PowerPoint to effectively communicate with donors and churches upon returning home.

Your internship may or may not include the following modules. These modules may change or be modified based on the ministries and projects available in the location of training.

Community Transformation: Learn how to lift whole communities by educating them on simple practices that can change their quality of life, their provision for life and their future. Community Transformation projects are the key to changing a village holistically and provide an avenue to reach the remaining unreached who are the poorest of the poor.

Managing Projects: The principles of planning, organizing, executing and maintaining a ministry project will be introduced while developing a project for your target community.

Human Exploitation: Introduction to human trafficking, the need in the country you serve, what is being done to address it, and the challenges to overcome.

Calvary Bible Institute: Introduction to the methodology of conducting a Bible school on the mission field. An opportunity may be available to participate in a Calvary Bible Institute.

Literacy Evangelism/English as a Ministry Tool: Have the opportunity to use literacy or English as a tool for evangelism.

Business as Mission: Introduction to running a business to facilitate missionary work and the varieties of businesses needs in empowering the poor and using business in creative access countries.
