ADVOCACY PROGRAM TESTIMONY
I would like to share a short testimony on how I am being blessed to be part of the ministry of Go To Nations Member Care.
And for me, to be able to process the hard season I have experienced in three different stages of life, I can only say that if not for prayers and counsel from my advocate I don't think I could have handled the challenges by myself. I am so blessed to have my advocate, Linda. She was there faithfully reaching out to have our advocate call. She takes time to listen and ask the right questions to help me understand the situation I'm in. To have someone ready to hear my fears and doubts and keep me in prayer is what makes this advocacy ministry so vital for my life and to every missionary/minister.
In 2021, I was asked to be a Member Care advocate for two single missionaries of Go To Nations, whom both of them now are being blessed with the gift of marriage. It's a wonderful experience to be a listener and an encourager to fellow missionaries. They got to share their needs of prayer in relation to their field ministry. It is a wonderful experience to witness how they put their faith and hope in the Lord in spite of many obstacles along the way in their journey of living in a different culture. It is a big encouragement hearing their many victories in the area of health, family concerns, financial and spiritual growth. Praying for them and being prayed for is always a great blessing.
Likewise, having someone advocating for you is a huge blessing! I find it a great way to show God reaching out to me and caring for my well being. For the last two years, my life as a mother of a young lady (who is now in the US for study) is not easy. I have encountered many fears and at times, depression. I have seen myself so helpless with doubts tormenting my mind. A lot of deep intercession was needed with the help of our intercessory partners.

The advocacy program provides a very safe place and time to be yourself and have a confidant that is willing to understand you and encourage your faith on how to trust the Lord in the most difficult times. Thank you so much Linda. You are a wonderful servant of the Lord and an awesome friend. Thank you to the VP of Member Care, Kathie Barousse, and the Director of the Advocacy program, Mama Janet Meyers, for always looking and thinking of the needs of every missionary with Go To Nations.
