Go To Nations often has missionaries and teams located within reach of desperate communities affected by floods, typhoons, earthquakes, fires and more. The Disaster Relief Fund gathers and accumulates funds so that Go To Nations personnel can be first responders in critical events. Because of our training, church relationships and networks, we are often able to respond quickly with food, water, mosquito nets, clothing, etc., much more quickly than the major relief organizations. Additionally we are able to build lasting relationships within the Christian Community.


Current Crisis:

Across Asia, communities are facing widespread devastation from earthquakes, catastrophic flooding, landslides and severe storms. From the recent earthquakes affecting Indonesia and the Philippines to devastating flooding across Nepal and the Himalayan region, families have lost homes, communities have been cut off, and critical infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.

In Nepal and along the border with Tibet, catastrophic flooding has swept through entire communities, destroying roads and bridges and leaving thousands dead or missing. Across other parts of Asia, earthquakes and extreme weather continue to threaten vulnerable communities, creating urgent needs for food, clean water, shelter, transportation and other emergency assistance.

Go To Nations has spent decades establishing missionaries, national leaders, churches and ministry relationships throughout Asia. When disaster strikes within reach of these networks, we have people who know the communities, understand the culture and can help identify where assistance is needed most.

The Disaster Relief Fund allows us to respond quickly as needs emerge rather than waiting to raise funds after each new crisis.
