Tammy was born in Indiana but grew up in New Mexico. Out of high school she joined the U.S. Navy and served approximately 10 years as an air traffic controller. After her naval service she taught middle school math for a couple of years but went back into the aviation field working in airport operations and communications. Eventually she ended up back in the control tower for a total of 29 years. In 2022 she was called out of aviation and spent 4 more years teaching 4th grade and middle school math at a local Christian school during that season of transition.

Tammy connected with Go To Nations through a missions contact at her local church where she serves in community outreach (feeding program) and AV production (livestreaming of services).
