Joshua Badal
Joshua Badal
Missionary Number: M565
Since his early childhood, Josh has sensed a call to foreign missions. He received his B.A. in Theology with a concentration in Missions from Oral Roberts University. While at ORU, he also did short-term missions each year, served as a chaplain, and wrote his senior paper on sharing the gospel cross-culturally.
His wife, Fern, was born and raised in Thailand, grew up in a Buddhist home but came to know Jesus as a college student at Mae Fa Luang University in Chiang Rai. After giving her life to the Lord, she began serving in her church and was on staff for four years.
In 2020, Josh moved to Chiang Rai to join the Go To Nations' team in Thailand and served there for four years. In 2024 he moved to Khon Kaen, Thailand. Fern followed a year later and they were married in 2025. Josh and Fern currently serve with Hug Khon Kaen Church and Asian Mission Outreach Foundation. Fern also serves as a full-time teacher at Harvest Learning Center.
Josh and Fern have a heart to see the revelation of Jesus and the simplicity of the gospel radically transform lives. They dream to see genuine discipleship become the norm in Thailand and to help plant churches in the most unreached areas–ultimately seeing Jesus receive the rewards of His sufferings in Southeast Asia.
