PROJECTS
Seth and Priscilla Carpenter are missionaries in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. They are working in partnership with another ministry called New Hope Opportunities that is reaching out to a very poor and dangerous community called La Rivera Hernandez through education and sharing the love of Jesus. New Hope has a grade school, high school, vocational institute, GED program, and church that is called Hope Missions Church. Seth and Priscilla are the youth pastors for the ministry. They run several outreach and discipleship programs for the youth of the high school, church, and community.
Many youth from this community drop out of school early and fall into a cycle of poverty, spending most of their time on the streets, and eventually being recruited by the neighborhood gang. The Carpenter’s passion is to see the youth of this community encounter the transformative love of Christ, surrender their lives to Him, and begin walking out the unique plan that He has prepared for them. In choosing to follow the Lord, the youth will stay in school, make better choices, and lead a Christ-purposed life that will bring transformation for them and their families.
