Dean and Christy Fulkerson are committed missionaries serving alongside the Go To Nations Iloilo team in Iloilo City, Philippines and in the mountains of Panay island. Since arriving in 2019, they have immersed themselves into the indigenous communities, partnering with the Pan-ayanon Bukidnon people, a mountain tribe of Panay distinguished by rich culture yet deeply under-reached by the gospel.

Men of Valor: Founder, Dean Fulkerson. 

Dean founded a men's discipleship ministry dedicated to discipling men to become strong leaders. Today, his ministry florishes among the Pan ayanon-Bukidnon in the Capiz mountains, especially in the barangay of Tapaz, Artuz, and Agpalali, with oportunities expanding across 25 local barangays. Tribal chiefs and leaders have integrated Men of Valor's Biblical values into their tribal codes of conduct , affirming the program's transformative impact.

Christy leads Women of Virtue, a ministry empowering women to walk in truth and lead with strength. Rising in identity, purpose, and faith through Christ. Christy's women's discipleship ministry with the Pan-ayanon Bukidnon women is also in the barangays of Tapaz, Artuz, and Agpalali. Together in 2025, the Men of Valor and Women of Virtue ministries celebrated 103 tribal members graduation in discipleship. They are rewriting futures across their communities. 

Strategic Partnership:

They have established a strong working relationship with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Tapaz who has invited them to launch discipleship and mentoring programs in nine high schools throughout the region. Tribal leadership has asked that these programs be extended to the youth across the tribe as well. 

Alpha Marriage Course 

Certified as Alpha Marriage Course Counselors, they are expanding this vital resource into tribal communities, ministering hope and healing in families. 

Understanding the Community

The Pan-ayanon Bukidnon have long faced the hardships of geographic isolation, subsistence farming, NPA terrorist threats and the adherence to the ancestral animistic beliefs, witchcraft, and superstitions. Many have heard of Jesus but possess very little knowledge of His Word. Today,  many communities practice ancient rituals and rely on spiritual traditions that once served them, but now leave them searching for meaning. The Fulkerson's calling is not to westernize, but to lovingly bring biblical redemption, identity, and purpose through Christ.
