Arvis & Kyra Gailis
Arvis & Kyra Gailis
Missionary Number: M153
Raised in a Christian home, Kyra felt the call to missions from a young age. After graduating with a degree in Elementary Education from Oral Roberts University, she embarked on a life-changing path. In 1992, she became a missionary with Go To Nations and helped pioneer a Christian school in Moscow, Russia, impacting the lives of missionary children.
On the other side of the world, Arvis was living in the Soviet Union and knew nothing about Christ. In 1989, he encountered Christ through the ministry of Calvary International, which was later rebranded as Go To Nations. His passion for the gospel led him to join Calvary Bible Institute Latvia. After graduation, he served as a missionary in Moscow where he met Kyra. They married in 1993 and together, they witnessed a mighty revival and helped plant churches across Russia and Latvia.
As a near native Russian speaker, Arvis joined the Global Pathway Team which began in Russia, and since then this team has brought this intense training to pastors in Russia, Latvia, the Philippines, Guatemala, Tanzania, and now Uganda. He is dedicated to helping pastors activate every member of their congregations to become involved personally with the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
This family calls the world their home. Their adult children live in Belgium and Africa, while they call Asia and Africa their home. Kyra continues to serve in Asia as an educational leader in international schools and finds great joy in her volunteer work as a motivational speaker and life coach. Arvis continues to minister with Global Pathway teams and serves on the Ugandan RIOT youth ministry team. Counseling and seeding into the lives of pastors and their families are their passion. Together their mission is to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in SOMEONE'S LIFE TODAY.
