KIDS ON MISSION

KIDS ON MISSION

Can children lead a gospel outreach?

The answer is YES!  If they are saved, and they get training, then God can use kids to share the Good News, sometimes better than adults!

Didier, a children's ministry missionary in Burkina Faso shares a testimony from his “Kids on Mission” Camp:

He said their “Kids on Mission” camp went very, very well.  They trained the children in how to share the gospel with their peers and then took them out to practice it. It went amazing! Then, when he arrived for Kids Club a few days after camp, the children surprised Didier with incredible news: after camp ended, on their own initiative, they went out to evangelize the very next day. For the first time ever, these children boldly shared the Good News–without any adult help–and reached more than 100 children. We praise the Lord for putting this boldness and fire in their hearts! That’s the Holy Spirit!

Another testimony from this camp is especially touching. A young girl we will call
Raina who is from a Muslim background, had always attended Didier’s kid’s club wearing her veil. Then, when she came to camp, she listened attentively during the evangelism training–always wearing her veil.  After a while, she slowly began taking the veil off and participated in the evangelism. She became one of the best preachers!

Soon after camp, Raina told Didier something remarkable. She has now found herself a church and is attending regularly. Amazing! This girl looks to be only about 13, and she knew she needed to be in church.  (Let this be an inspiration to us here in the States!)  Even more encouraging, she is not going alone. She invited other children who were not Christians but came through the club and they have also committed themselves to attending church. They are now part of the local Assemblies of God church. This is truly a reason to thank God.
