MIRACLE LEADS TO FAITH
One of our district leaders invited me to preach at a three-day meeting. Although I wasn’t able to preach at the night service, I did attend the Sunday service. During these meetings, some truly fantastic and supernatural healings took place.
A family from Bihar had previously moved to the Suryapet area just to survive. Bihar is one of the most unreached states in India; the people there are often hard-hearted and opposed to the gospel. However, Sister Beena, who is also from Bihar, welcomed this family to stay with her in the church compound as a caretaker.
Vivek’s brother also had migrated to this area a few years ago and works as a car washer. Vivek had been paralyzed for 16 years, unable to ever walk or stand on his own legs. He also salivated constantly, requiring his mother to keep a towel wrapped around his neck at all times.
The entire family attended the three-day meetings. On the second day, while the church and the congregation were praying, the power of God hit the place. Suddenly, Vivek got up and started walking right there! His mother was in utter shock to see this miracle.
For the first time in his life, he was walking without any assistance.
The congregation was completely amazed by this supernatural healing. Notably, no one had even laid hands on him or specifically prayed over him; the miracle simply happened as the people corporately prayed.
When I arrived, Vivek walked right up to us. Though a little saliva still drops once every few hours, the continuous flow has completely stopped. The entire church, along with the local villagers, witnessed this incredible sign.
That same Sunday, when people came forward for water baptism, Vivek’s mother also took water baptism. Her eldest son resisted her from going forward, but she completely believed in Jesus Christ and came forward for water baptism anyway. She has decided to give her life to the One who heals body and souls. Hallelujah!
Glory to the Living Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Praise be to God!
This is truly why we do what we do. We are amazed that of all things, when Go To Nations started in the 1980s, we were compelled to do these simple, but significant, one year Bible schools that are really equipping schools.
We now have more than 28,000 graduate ministers from 24 different nations. Most of these schools only average 25 to 50 students, but for 44 years now, we have averaged two graduates per day every single year! By empowering these men and women right where they are, we greatly extend what our missionaries like Paul can do by reproducing ourselves again and again. We release these powerful men and women right back into their own cultures as former Hindus, Buddhists, or Muslims.
This testimony is just one of many testimonies we receive regularly from our graduates serving around the world.
