Mae Da and Paw Ai
On Resurrection Sunday, Mae Da, Paw Ai, and a few others participated in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus through baptism. Since that day, Paw Ai has said confidently over and over again, “I am a new creation!”
Josh Badal who has been discipling this couple shares, "One of my greatest joys in this season has been to see Mae Da and Paw Ai grow in the Lord. Last month, I was especially encouraging Mae Da commit to reading the Bible everyday. I also recently gave Paw Ai the book of Matthew on audio bible. Since then, I’ve been so amazed to see hunger for the Word of God begin to develop in them. Many times when I come to visit their house, I find Mae Da sitting on the floor with her Bible open. She then will often share with me what passage she read from that day. Paw Ai also really enjoys singing worship songs. I’m so excited to see how God is speaking to them through His word and giving them more and more understanding of what it means to follow Christ.”
It’s so beautiful to see new believers flourish in their deepening relationship with the Lord. This couple had no one pouring into them, no influence from other believers, and little understanding of the Bible. What became a burning desire for Jesus and the Word started out as a simple U-turn. Josh was obedient to the Lord’s voice and was able to communicate with this couple that there is a Savior who relentlessly pursues them. We give all the praise to God for these two lives that are forever changed!
